"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!' running around my room - now I know looking for JonBenét", Burke Ramsey told Dr. Phil.
Audiences have reacted strongly to the talk show host's three-part interview with JonBenet Ramsey's brother, in particular the 29-year-old's seemingly inappropriate smiling while discussing his sister's murder.
McGraw noted that Burke Ramsey has been criticized for his seeming lack of grief in a video filmed when Burke was 9 years old and being interviewed about his sister's death.
"Did you hit your sister over the head with a baseball bat or a flashlight?"
"We hope that the next step is there will be a groundswelling of understanding and support to push the Boulder district attorney to correct the mistakes that were made and solve the case", Clemente says.
ET caught up with Dr. Phil on Thursday, where he spoke more about Burke, and defended him against naysayers.
One of the docos' fountains of knowledge Dr. Werner Spitz, a leading forensic pathologist and someone whose name demands you trust everything his says, reckons the evidence against Burke is indisputable.
In the third part of Dr. Phil's sit-down with the slain beauty queen's brother, Ramsey is asked, flat out, if he did it. "Unfortunately, the family is not very cooperative, but that's how they've been from day one in this investigation", Clemente said.
JonBenet Ramsey was found dead in her basement on Boxing Day in December 1996. They would do anything for their children. Or, that she woke hungry and had a snack, or that she and Burke snuck a snack together. He was just 9 years old at the time and home with his parents when it happened.
This revelation came a day after Burke Ramsey appeared on United States talk show Dr Phil and denied any involvement in his sister's death on behalf of himself and his parents. His parents (mother Patsy died from cancer in 2006) long claimed that Burke wasn't aware of the killing until after police arrived. I don't know the why, I'm not a psychiatrist, but what I am sure about is what I know about him, that is what happened here.
When Patsy Ramsey called 911 to report her daughter, JonBenet, missing, 911 operator Kim Archuleta took the call. They also discounted evidence of a mark from a stun gun found on JonBenet's skin; they believe the marks may have come from Burke's railroad toy set. "I know that we were suspects", he said. "I don't want anyone to forget".
Instead, the team has constructed a series of events that led to her death. "Finally, what sounded like the voice of a child - which the investigators claimed must have been Burke - asking, 'What did you find?'"
