There is now still no official release date for the highly awaited new installment in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise - "Kingdom Hearts 3" - but fans of the series have at least gotten a rough idea that it would likely be coming out next year.
After Paris Games Week revealed a lot of informations regarding the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise, fans have been eager to learn even more updates about their favorite game. These titles includes the confusingly named "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix", "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix", and finally, "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue". Luckily for players, Square Enix had tweeted screenshots of Sora getting a new keyblade weapon and more power upgrades. The "Kingdom Hearts" HD remakes are also confirmed to be coming its way to the market, pushing the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" farther.
As for the new Drive Form, game protagonist Sora is seen brandishing a shield which protects him from a lightning bolt.
Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is available on Android and iOS.
Furthermore, players will be able to get the "Final Mix" versions of "Kingdom Hearts" and "Kingdom Hearts II" along with "Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories", the last of which is a 3D remake of the Nintendo DS game which is known to have filled the gap between the first and second games accordingly. To be noted is that at the moment the game is still in the development phase and new game mechanics might get added also along the line.
According to Kotaku, the "Kingdom Hearts" HD remakes will be released before "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue".
The picture's background appears to depict the world of the Greek gods, and based on the cloud pillars, lightning bolts, and classical Greek structures, it was speculated that the game will feature Mt. Olympus as one of the settings in the upcoming title. It will then be followed by "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix" for the PS4 on March 31.
