Brooks' publicist Nancy Seltzer told Reuters on Friday (Dec. 9), "Garth has performed for the five living presidents".
According to TheWrap, celebrities aren't jumping at the chance to perform for Trump's swearing in, or the balls, parade or National Mall concert that typically accompany the signature inaugural event. "We will stand together as a nation behind President-elect Donald Trump and his vision of a better future for every American".
Donald Trump's inauguration next month will use the same slogan as his provocative campaign - "Make America Great Again", plus an exclamation point.
Brooks stayed silent during the divisive election in which most stars, including Beyonce, Katy Perry, Jay-Z and Jennifer Lopez, threw their support behind Democrat Hillary Clinton.
So far no celebrities have been announced for the event.
Despite not getting much love from Hollywood it looks like Donald Trump has friends in low places.
Earlier this week, TMZ asked Brooks if he would sing for Trump.
"No one with any official position at, or official relationship with, the Presidential Inaugural Committee is engaging in the conduct describe", spokesman Boris Epshteyn said. "We have world-class talent, world-class entertainers reaching out to us offering their help, offering their services so no struggle, whatsoever". "And you've seen some inaugurals in the past that maybe did seem like a coronation".
Trump will be attending both inaugural balls on January 20, according to the release.
