Anthony Thomas said his daughter will need therapy and that her family will be patient with her and get her the help she needs.

Meanwhile, authorities say Cummins' actions prior to going on the lam show he was planning on kidnapping Elizabeth, apparently for sexual purposes. But it took almost 40 days and a nationwide search for Thomas and her former science teacher, 50-year-old Tad Cummins.
