Democratic candidates for other offices, like IL gubernatorial hopeful J.B. Pritzker, were flashing their progressive bona fides by calling for impeachment. The process would begin in the House, with members impeaching - or charging - the president.
Due to the impeachment process outlined in the US Constitution, Democrats would have to rely on a Republican buy-in to the argument that Trump needs to be impeached in order to make it happen.
