The Giants star wide receiver traveled to Arlington, Texas, for Sunday night's matchup with the Cowboys, but reports are indicating he likely won't suit up. But now it seems an offseason he couldn't wait to end could last at least one more week, if his ankle injury doesn't feel good enough during pre-game warmups to let him play.
Here's a rundown of tonight's Giants-Cowboys game.
Week one is here New York Giants fans. You want him out there. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network. The two teams have played 109 times, and the Cowboys have a 62-45-2 record. I know on this side - I don't know what's going on over there - but I know the Giants are coming with it.
Zeke dominated the headlines this week, but it's the performance of Dak Prescott that could be the key to the Cowboys doing what they couldn't do past year and beating the Giants.
He appeared in three of the Cowboys' four preseason games this year, starting one, and registering four tackles. 'Covers Expert Marc Lawrence'.
It's becoming an annual September classic: Cowboys-Giants, Week 1, in primetime.
Game Preview: It has been a less than ideal off-season for the Cowboys.
"You're trying to see how he comes in in the spring and how he responds and takes coaching and then he's gotten better and he's very coachable", special teams coordinator Tom Quinn said.
In reaction to their disappointing loss, quarterback Tom Brady said afterwards, "I just think we need to have more urgency and go out there and perform a lot better".
Beckham is dealing with a high-ankle and did not practice this week for the Giants.
Not only is Ezekiel Elliott playing in this game, he'll be playing the whole season just as I predicted.
ABOUT THE GIANTS (2016: 11-5 SU, 9-6-1 ATS, 4-12 O/U): NY rebounded from three consecutive losing seasons to earn its first postseason berth since 2011, sparked by a defense that led the NFC with an average of 17.8 points allowed and ranked fourth in the league against the run (Dallas was No. 1). But there are still talented wideouts the Cowboys defense will have to deal with, including new addition Brandon Marshall, and second-year receiver Sterling Shepherd. He led the National Football League last season as a rookie with 1,631 yards rushing. Is only player in National Football League history with 80+ catches & 1,000+ rec. yards in each of 1st 3 seasons.
