Tony Soprano, Walter White, Don Draper, Jimmy McNulty, and Nucky Thompson.
She started landing television roles at age 7 - first in family programming but eventually being cast in "Picket Fences", a quirky police drama about odd happenings in a small town in Wisconsin.
VOA News and the Associated Press reported this story.
There were some fabulous sartorial statements at this year's Emmy Awards. "It created opportunities out of our frustration because we weren't getting offered great roles".
For this year's Emmy ceremonies, in ways perhaps more groundbreaking than their 68 predecessors, had their arms wide open to women and minorities, as icons, presenters and, most of all, winners. From "The Handmaid's Tale", "The Crown", "Big Little Lies" and "Feud: Bette and Joan" to "Veep", "Grace and Frankie" and "Better Things", programs that are laser-focused on the intimate lives of women drove the kudos conversation this year. And it's a story starring women, and that comes from a book also written by a woman, Liane Moriarty.
Fiona Dourif, star of BBC America's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, said she was now watching The Handmaid's Tale and hoped to see Moss rewarded, as well as Stranger Things.
The Handmaid's Tale dominated the show at last night's Primetime Emmy Awards, winning all five of the Emmys for which it was nominated, including outstanding drama series. Her show "Veep" also won the category of Outstanding Comedy Series, beating out the likes of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Modern Family" and others. "In 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot", Tomlin said to cheers from the audience. Nicole Kidman - also from "Big Little Lies" - addressed domestic abuse issues, which had played a large role in her character's plot line on the show, during her acceptance for Best Actress in a Limited Series.
But even within category which rewards best films for television, a story of love between women is protagonist of winning production.
The apex may have been the 9 to 5 reunion of legendary presenters Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda (the trio earning one of the night's several standing ovations), saying that much like their boss in the classic comedy movie, "We still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot".
Archie Panjabi was the first British Asian actress to win an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in 2010 for The Good Wife. Since 1995, with Mimi Leder and Emergency room, he had not given this circumstance. "Gilead and Scientology both believe that all outside sources (aka news) are wrong and evil...it's just very interesting", the fan commented on a photo.
"The entire cast of the series woke up on November 9th and looked at each other and said, in essence, 'we are no longer in a fiction, '" she said.
