Arizona just bounced back from a season-opening loss at the Detroit Lions to defeat the Colts in Indianapolis last week 16-13 in overtime. Give it one more week and If the Cardinals come out and beat the defending NFC East Champion Dallas Cowboys then we know that they are a playoff contender.
If Elliott can get the Cowboys rushing attack back on track in Arizona on Monday night, the team should be in store for a solid win.
The Cowboys are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 3 and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Monday games. "I would say I was just very frustrated, but that's no excuse for the lack of effort I showed on tape", Elliott said.
Nobody is calling for Morris to take some of the load off Elliott after two games this season, but the Cowboys running back is facing questions, mostly about his effort on two interceptions, but also for picking up just 8 yards on nine carries last week against the Denver Broncos. I like the Cowboys to cover here.

"We played the game they wanted us to play, not the game that we typically play", coach Jason Garrett said, per Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Fans are claiming Ezekiel Elliott is out of shape and Dak Prescott is no better than Quincy Carter. Or will his first real bout of criticism regarding on-field play linger into Monday night's performance?
The media has been harping on the fact that Sunday was a prime example of how overrated the Cowboys are and that the "sophomore slump" is here for Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
Namely, much credit goes to right guard Ronald Leary in his "revenge" game against Dallas, his former team. These players are supposed to be the strength of this team as they are all clearly among the best players on the roster. So there's a 10-team difference in the Cards favor on defense, but a 20-team difference on offense.
Prescott has had worst games than that from a statistical standpoint. You're going to have these types of growing pains but it's how Elliott rebounds from his mistakes that will matter.
However, after their domination in the trenches I expect the Dallas Cowboys offensive line to bounce back. "Bryant's lack of polish on intermediate routes prevents him from being an integral part of the passing game, particularly when opponents employ press coverage at the line of scrimmage".
