Google introduced the new headphones during an event on Wednesday morning in California, alongside new entries in the Google Home smart speaker line, a new Chromebook laptop, and the next generation of the company's Pixel phone. It's all but confirmed, but on Wednesday we may also get the official unveiling of the PixelBook, Google's next internally designed Chromebook.
Update: Home Product Management VP Rishi Chandra says Google Home will launch in Japan later this week.
The PixelBook is 10mm thin and weighs a kilo and has 12.3-inch Quad HD LCD display, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM and i5 and i7 processors.
Today, Google not only announced the Google Home Mini, but also a bigger Home device with better speakers.
According to Google, the Home Mini can project 360-degree sound and packs far-field microphones for great sound output and input.
If you own an Android phone running Marshmallow or higher, you can quickly pair Google Pixel Buds with a feature called Fast Pair.
Google will launch the next iteration of the Google Pixel smartphones tonight 9:30PM IST. Prime among them will be the launch of latest flagship smartphone Google Pixel and Google Pixel 2. The new Daydream View VR headset will be available in several regions later this year.
In an obvious move, Google is once again going head-to-head with Amazon with a new miniature version of their Home speaker. The Home Max will cost $399, and be out in December, as a U.S. exclusive. If Google's Home hardware strategy is "copy whatever Amazon is doing, but with Google software" then the Google Home is the Amazon Echo, and the Mini is Google's answer to the Echo Dot. The hybrid device runs Chrome OS. Google is offering the new phones through Verizon, though customers on other carriers can buy the phones through the Google stores. The latency has been reduced to 10ms so it feels like writing on paper with a pen. Assistant can also alert users about an upcoming calendar event or incoming message. Both the devices will be available in the following six countries, including India, Australia, Canada, Germany, UK, and the USA.
