Google, besides launching its Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL smartphones, launched two new speakers with Google Assistant.
Mini makes the Google Assistant more accessible than ever at home.
Both come with Google Assistant integrated and can be operated by your voice. The fabric allows sound and light to pass through it while presenting it with a softer outlook. The puck-sized fabric covered speaker is priced $49 and will start retailing in U.S. stores from October 19 and is right now available for pre-order.
"On the other hand, the Home Max is all about music quality, with its two 4.5" woofers with high-excursion, to really boost those low frequencies.
The Google Home Mini comes in three different colors: chalk (white), charcoal (black), and coral (red).
Google have announced that everyone's favorite assistant is back, in a new slimmed-down miniature version. You get USB Type C connectivity along with a 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth connectivity if you are interested in plugging in to a more powerful speaker. Early testers say it's adept at picking up on voice commands while music plays, and a few simple taps on the device itself (it does have a mute button) can control most of its audio playback. While iOS users will get a call from Google if their handset is set on silent. Google will offer 12 months of ad-free YouTube music subscription with the purchase of the Home Max.
In fact, the Google Home Max is quite a bit larger than the standard Google Home. With dual stereo speakers, the Home Max is the company's bid to go head to head against Sonos, Bose and even Apple's upcoming HomePod.
