Going into Wednesday's event, Google, a division of Alphabet Inc. It has happened to the recently released iPhone 8 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which were ranked number one in camera department, with the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL beating them by several points. It might not be a dramatic difference over the Galaxy S8, but if Google does indeed have an edge here, then it could well sway the decision for on-the-go photo fiends who crave something top-of-the-line.
Google launched the Pixel 2 on October 4th and it boasted about its camera a lot. This feels like the final nail in the coffin for both landline and mobile network providers - slowly eradicating the need for the traditional phone contract. The other party's reply (presumably in Japanese because otherwise what exactly are you playing at?) will then play into your ear through the Pixel Buds.
Google, the world best search engine has transformed itself to one of the best smartphone maker. It's really disappointing Google has stuck with a single-lens system in the rear. This is just one step to a future of bezel-less devices. Google will work out the bakery on the 24th Street and call them. "The main thing to keep in mind is that Pixel 2 devices are compatible with USB-C headphones that support digital audio".
It appears Google has implemented a strategy similar to that around phones, in order for it to drive the usage of voice share. Both phones have mostly identical hardware, with the exception of the screen. However, this time Google are forefront of hardware production. Danny Vena owns shares of Alphabet (A shares), Amazon, and Apple.
From new smart speakers to smart earbuds and everything in between, here's what else Google had to reveal. Following Apple, Google has removed the smartphone jacks from both the flagship phones. Siri has a long way to go before it can catch up with Google Assistant.
And I'm not just talking a handful of languages like Spanish or Italian, the Pixel Buds, according to Engadget, have "the power to translate between 40 languages". Nexus lineup was premium too but it wasn't up there with the likes of Apple, Samsung and others.
Finally, Google has added squeezable sides to the Pixel 2 which can be used to take selfies and summon the clever Google Assistant. It gives you a sense of relief that you can take as many pictures as you want without having to check how much storage is left on the device. That said, most users will probably be content with it.
As the company's engineers explained during last week's launch event, the Pixel 2's camera relies on AI crunching information in the background - or the cloud, rather - to improve image quality.
