They might or might not share screen space in Padmavati, Ranveer and Deepika in a film are enough to leave their fans restless. The trailer was released at 13:03pm (IST). For those of you who don't know, 1303 AD was when the eight-month long siege of Chittor by Sultan Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh) took place. Shahid Kapoor, as Rajput king Maharawal Ratan Singh, Padmavati's husband looks intense, fierce and ethereal.
Singh steals the show as scary Alauddin Khilji with unkempt hair, kohl, and scary-eyes.
Hours before Ranveer Singh's look was to be unveiled, the poster was shared across social media a little after midnight on Monday. As was the case with Bajirao Mastani, here she is also under the burden of jewellery but that was how the Queens of Royal Kingdoms would carry themselves.
The movie has been courting a lot of controversies since it was launched but the looks of the actors and the trailer have made Indian audiences look forward to the film.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films are known for their well-choreographed sequences, especially where battle is involved. Padmavati, is all set to hit the theaters on December 1.
