The Gateway DX4850-45 is a combination of speedy performance and Blu-ray playback which might appear quite weird to some people but for those who know of a PC with both productive capacity and disc-based HD entertainment, the Gateway DX4850-45u is an awesome system.

The Good and Bad Aspects of the Model

The good aspects of the Gateway DX4850-45u consist of its speedy performance due to the Intel Core i5 and a capacity for good multimedia due to its Blu-ray drive and HDMI output. However, the poor aspects of this model take into account its mid tower case which takes up a lot of space, its feeble power supply and the prominent thrifty on exterior ports damage its expandability.

Gateway DX4850-45u

Key Features

The price of the Gateway DX4850 is $749 and it has 2.8 GHz Intel Core i52300 processor. Other than that, the Gateway DX4850 has a 6 GB 1,333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM memory, a 64 MB Intel HD Graphics 2000 integrated graphics chip, a 1 TB 5,400 rpm hard drive and a Blu-ray and a DVD burner combo for optical drive. However, for networking capabilities the device has Gigabit Ethernet and an 802.11 b/g/n along with the Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) as an operating system.

The Gateway DX4850-45u has the second generation Core i5 CPU and this lifts the performance of the device immensely. The Gateway also consists of a bigger hard drive which enables a huge space for digital media files due to Blu-ray drive. Although, the Gateway does not have the 512 MB GeForce 310 graphics card, it performs great with its Intel HD Graphics 2000 technology. The device also comes with a PCI Express graphics card slot located on its motherboard which enables an improvised path.

The offerings that come along with this system include motherboard ports which are scarcely least and they tend to dissatisfy the industry-wide trend which states the violation on Gateway and Acer systems. Also, you will get a VGA output and an HDMI video output but you will not get any DVI output with the device. This in result means that the users will have to rely on the display, cables and video adapters that they possess. Moreover, the device also has a lacking of a digital audio and a 7.1 analog audio output support, therefore the user is left with only a collection of 5.1 analog audio jacks. The device comes with the typical USB 2.0 jacks and has a lacking of FireWire, eSATA and USB 3.0.

Conclusion

Although the Gateway DX4850-45u is not an awesome device, it is good for those who need it for a small private room for media usage.

    Google Versus Amazon

Although Google accounts for about 74% of the searches conducted every day, the trends on how users look up information suggest Amazon will get the lead over Google in coming times. Where Google shows millions of ads, Amazon provides more targeted and visual ads. Moreover, with Amazon’s integrated approach users now find no need to go to Google when looking to buy a product. Amazon is already the dominating e-tailer and this further enhances its chances of growing rapidly. However, it still has a long way to go before it can override Google but the chances of this materializing are, no doubt, bright.
